A few years ago I had no idea about skincare and what would actually benefit my skin. Without any knowledge I just did what my friends or good, old magazines told me. I think it goes without saying that I made a few mistakes that I would not make again with my current knowlege about how to take care of your skin! So here are my top 3 beauty sins to avoid at all costs if you want healthy and radiant-looking skin …

1. Not washing your face daily

I think this one goes without saying but you need to wash and clean your face on a daily basis. And I don’t mean just use water to wash it or even worse, use soap or your body wash to do it. I mean, have a good cleansing routine goind and use a cleanser that is designed to help YOUR skin. I personally love the LumiSpa. You can check it out here – LUMISPA

So find out what your skin type is and use a cleanser that is created for this skin type and your skin issue.

2. Not washing your pillow cases regularly

Think about it: You sleep on your pillow for about 8 hours every night. During this time you sweat, you shed skin cells, you might smear some night cream into your pillow case …. and the next day, you put your face onto the same spot for another good night sleep.

This is fine for a certain amount of time but your pillow cases should be washed regularly. By regularly, I mean once a week!

If you want to give your skin some extra love, try switching to silk pillowcases – these ones for example: silk pillow cases! They feel amazing on your skin, can help to prevent wrinkles and irritations.

3. Not drinking enough water

Our whole body needs water to do what it is supposed to. Every single organ benefits from us drinking about 3 liters of water every day. And that one is really such a simple tip for skin care that it is often overlooked.

So let’s make drinking 3 liters of water a day a habit and see how it benefits our skin!
